Oscar Quam Company Mallard Drake
Minneapolis, Minnesota • Circa 196os
This “Dipper” decoy as Quam referred to them in his catalogs. He is made of cork and still retains its original Quam stamped weight. 100% original paint with some slight wear to the cork. Believe it or not you don’t find these that often especially not in this condition as I don’t think this little guy ever made it to the water. |

L.L. Bean Goldeneye Drake
Freeport, Maine • Circa 1950s
This decoy was made by George Soule for the LL Bean company in the 50’s and represents one of his early decoys that were manufactured during the decades long collaboration between the two companies. It is pretty tough to find early Soule decoys and this one is in excellent original paint and condition. He is made or cork and finished with a wood head and bottom board. There is some slight shelf wear and a few rubs to the cork. The head features glass eyes and bill carving and still retains it’s original red ink stamp on bottom. Dry and Crisp paint! |
