Hudson Mallard Pair
Pascagoula, Mississippi • Circa 1930s
Strong rigmate pair in excellent original paint and condition. This pair exhibits a small amount of shelf wear to their extremities (head, tail, bill) as I don’t think they have ever been used. The drakes head is slightly loose. Nice addition to a factory decoy collection by one of the early Pascagoula decoy manufacturers. Item #207011
Herters Bluewing Teal
Waseca, Minnesota • Circa 1970s
In the mid 1960s Herters began to produce a line of decorative drake decoys. Many of these where cold stamped with “Herter’s Inc 1893”, and by the time production ceased in the early 1980s, thirty-one species had been made. This example is in near mint condition with just the slightest amount of shelf wear. Rare balsa model. He carries the Herter’s cold stamp on bottom and was only produced for nine years starting in 1972. Item #207019
Animal Trap Co. Goldeneye Pair
Lititz, Pennsylvania • Circa late 1940s
Good clean pair of paper mache goldeneyes from one of the most prolific decoy factories. This pair is in great original paint and condition with rubs to the end of the beaks and tails and some slight paint flaking to the sides. Both birds have the full color Victor “V” labels on bottom, which are in excellent shape. I don’t think these were used that much due to the clean condition of the labels. Paper mache goldeneye pairs are hard to find. Item #207050

Benz Mallard Drake
Jefferson City, Missouri • Circa 1930s
This nice example is in virtually mint condition, having never been used. This is the last one I have that came from a rig found several years ago. He has never been rigged and shows just the slightest amount of box wear. The small various tan marks/spots on him are traces of the original newspaper he was wrapped in after he was painted. Wonderful dry and crisp original paint that features Benz’s typical comb painting on his back and tail. Great crisp example from the last of the Jefferson City factories. Item #207008
Sperry Black Duck
New Haven, Connecticut • Circa 1920s

The neck has separated slightly from the body due to wood shrinkage and I have not come across one that has not had this. Nice comb painting on this seldom seen factory decoy. Animal Trap Company Black Duck
Circa 1940s
This decoy represents their D-4 model and is in excellent original paint and condition. Although this bird was rigged up at one time I don’t think he has ever hit the water. The only thing keeping this bird from being mint is just the slightest amount of shelf wear. You don’t find black ducks by this company that often, and it will be hard to improve upon this example. Item 207002
Gundelfinger Black Duck
Jefferson City, Missouri • Circa mid 1920s
If you looking for a hard species of Gundlefinger decoys this might be your bird. Believe it or not, I have seen more teal than black ducks by Gundelfinger. Overall, this bird in nice original condition with even gunning wear. The nail that is now visible in his neck is original and was used by the company to secure their heads. The neckfiller is cracked all the way around and the left side of the bird has two small paint scrapes as well as a tight age crack under his eye. Thick original comb paint. The original company ink stamp is still visible on the bottom. Item #207020

Wright Company Pintail Pair
Berkeley, California • Circa 1930s
An absolutely outstanding pair of pintails by a seldom seen decoy factory. This rigmate pair is in near mint, dry original paint with wonderful comb painting detail on both decoys. Both necks have separated slightly from their bodies, probably due to wood shrinkage over time. This pair retains strong original factory ink stamps on their bottoms. A truly wonderful pair of factory decoys. Item #207027
Red Farm Studio • Ruddy Duck Pair
Providence, Rhode Island • Circa late 1950s
Great pair of folky ruddy ducks. This neat pair of ruddies are signed Red Farm Studio, Providence, Rhode Island on the bottom and the drake is dated. I am not familiar with this maker but this is a really neat pair of birds. They measure approximately eight inches long and have delicate flat painted tails. Each head is turned 30 degrees and finished with glass eyes. It looks like both tails have had repairs to strength this area. The drake has a few rubs to the tips of the tails otherwise the paint is all original. Item #207082
Tux-Dux Black Duck

You don’t find this company's decoys very often, especially in this condition. Item #207018
